The Graduate School for Biomimetic Fiber Engineering
Are you interested in multidisciplinary research? Do you believe a sustainable environment can be reached through new design and new materials? Then, this should interest you!
In September 2009 KTH launched a unique cross-disciplinary Graduate School. The mission is to train PhD students in the development of a new generation of biomaterials, based in the Swedish forest resource.
The Graduate School for Biomimetic Fiber Engineering is supported by FORMAS and is hosted by the Division of Glycoscience, School of Biotechnology, KTH, with KTH-partners at Fiber and Polymer Technology, Surface Chemistry, and KTH Learning Lab. Additional partners are Innventia and SLU in Umeå with Umeå Plant Science Center. KTH Innovation and Konstfack are also involved as providers and organizers of courses. The school is closely linked to Biomime.
